Job Description:
  • Assign appropriate ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to patient diagnoses and procedures for insurance billing.
  • Review medical records and documentation to ensure coding is accurate and complete.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and coding standards.
  • Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify any ambiguous or incomplete information.
  • Assist with audits and reviews to ensure coding accuracy.
  • Stay updated on changes in medical coding practices and guidelines.
  • Maintain and manage databases of medical codes and ensure their proper application.
  • Generate reports on coding data and provide insights for process improvements.

  • In-depth knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare documentation.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret medical records for accurate coding.
  • Familiarity with coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with healthcare providers and insurance companies.
  • Certification in Medical Coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and handle complex coding assignments.
